Timothy Dale DeKam, age 61 of Falmouth, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving wife and family. Tim was born on November 29, 1964 to Carl and Betty DeKam. He married Dana McCrimmon on October 1, 2016.
Tim, fondly known as Ram Jam, lived most of his life in the Falmouth area. Following graduation from Northern Michigan Christian School he obtained an electronics degree from Northwestern Michigan College. He had a variety of jobs over the years including FEMA work after Hurricane Katrina, dairy work in Oahu, Hawaii and working at Great Lakes Dairy in Falmouth. He loved his 40 acres and he enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with family and friends. He especially loved being grandpa to his grandsons and telling them about Jesus.
He is survived by his wife, Dana (McCrimmon), step-daughter Kayla Park (Sean Oswald), grandsons Nicholas and Jayce Verlotti, Kayden and Addalynn Oswald, his siblings, Carol (Dan) Netz of Grand Rapids, Bonnie (James) VanHouten of Cadillac, Steven (Mary) DeKam, David (Esther) DeKam, Daniel (Mona) DeKam of Falmouth, sister-in-law Mary (Ebels) DeKam and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bruce DeKam.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Prosper Christian Reformed Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mitchell Leach officiating. Friends may meet the family at the church Wednesday, April 29 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Prosper Cemetery in Clam Union Township, Missaukee County. Memorial contributions can be made to Prosper Church or Northern Michigan Christian School. Arrangements were made with the Burkholder-Nielsen Funeral Home in McBain. Thoughts and Prayers may be left at burkholderfunerals.com
