On Thursday April 3rd, 2025, Terry Cain of Merritt, MI passed away at the age of 70 at Munson Hospital in Traverse City, Mi. Terry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, with many others who considered him a dad and Papa. He was a man of immense humor, wisdom, and sarcasm. Terry had a great love of the outdoors and would be out camping, fishing, hunting, trail riding, driving the Jeep and riding snowmobiles whenever he and his family had a chance.

Terry was born to Russell and (Cora) Sue Cain in Charlotte, MI. After graduating from Eaton Rapids High School in 1973, he later joined the Marine Corp where he proudly served for two years. On August 15th, 1992, Terry married the love of his life Sandra (Sandy) Wilson at Moddersville Reformed Church. Throughout his 50+ year career as a truck driver, Terry was known for his hard work, dedication, and making friends wherever he went.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Sandy (Wilson) Cain of Merritt, his children Chelsea Matice-Cain of Merritt, Andrew Cain of Merritt, Brian (Vicki) Cain of Charlotte, Sarah (Todd) Tyler of Eaton Rapids, and Tricia (Marc) Mullins of Ohio, 9 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild, with many friends who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. He is also survived by his siblings Greg (Cindy) Cain of Lake and Kevin (Crystal) Cain of Dewitt. He is preceded in death by his parents Russ and Sue Cain, in-laws Andrew and Betty Wilson, and brother-in-law Chet Wilson.

His funeral will be held on Friday April 11th, 2025 at 2 P.M. at Moddersville Reformed Church, with visitation starting at 12 P.M. and graveside service with military honors at Moddersville East cemetery to follow. Lunch will be at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations to assist with the services and support.
