Steven (Steve) Joseph Hill of Lake City, MI, age 63, passed away with his family by his side at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City on July 26, 2026. He was born in Cadillac, MI on March 2, 1963, to the late Beverly Hill-Schlegel and Richard Hill.

After graduating from Lake City High School in 1981, he traveled the country, working for Hall Real Estate Group. Skilled and knowledgeable about many things, Steve was generous and caring to friends, family, and strangers, with a love of animals he inherited from his mom.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brothers, Stacey (Kari) Hill of Lake City, Sterling (Sarah Mimnaugh) Hill of Traverse City, and his nieces and nephews Caitlin (Jeremy) Stapleton, Brandon, Abigail, Morgan, and Trenton Hill. A celebration of life will be held at his Uncle Louie’s on August 22 at 1pm.
