Larry Schepers, age 80, of Marion, Michigan, passed away with his loving wife by his side on October 10, 2026.
Larry and his twin brother, Lee, were born on August 26, 1946, to George and Marian Schepers. The two grew up on the family’s small farm in Marion, Michigan, and attended Marion schools. Larry was drafted into the U.S. Army and served two years, including a tour in Vietnam. On May 13, 1966, Larry married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Fountain. This year they celebrated 60 years of marriage. Shortly after his discharge from the service, Larry and Lee started Schepers Brothers Construction, and the two worked side by side building the business together.
Larry loved hunting, fishing, and woodworking, and he enjoyed shooting pool with his friends in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Larry attended the Dighton Wesleyan Church.
Larry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sharon; his children, Mike (Amanda) Schepers, Kevin (Stacie) Schepers, and Todd Schepers (Lisa Dykstra); his grandchildren, Tim (Nichole) Schepers, Earl (Emily) Poumade, Taylor (Lane) Kincer, Alex (Jaime) Poumade, Collin (Kristine) Schepers, Caitlyn (Garett) Gugle, and Emma (Edwin) Fuller; his great-grandchildren, Olivia, Tianna, Dylan, Ellana, Joseph, Zaylin, Anya, Cannon, Maggie, and Amos; and his siblings, Joyce (Roger) Mayle, Mary Wood, Linda (Jerry) Ivy, and Paul (Diana) Schepers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marian Schepers; his twin brother, Lee Schepers; and his brother-in-law, Chuck Wood.
