Karen Altah Eisenga, age 81 of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Autumnwood in McBain. Karen was born on April 9, 1943, in Marion to Arnold and Lempi (Peninsula) Johnson
Karen worked at the Ashcraft Grocery store in McBain as well as M&J Grocery store in Marion. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and quilting. Karen also spent time cooking and baking and loved to watch the birds.
Karen is survived by her daughters; Nadine (Bill) Brinks of Marion, Mya (Scott) Dunham of Tustin, Deb Eisenga of LeRoy and Jennie (Heath) Priestley of Marion, grandchildren; Kim (Ben) Steinacker, Aaron (Emily) Willis, Ami (Tony) Peterson, Ethan Willis, Isaac and Jared Dunham, Autumn, Jayden and Lillian Priestley, great-grandchildren; Warren Steinacker, Brison Powers, Auora Willis, Colton and Josie Peterson and Kara Steinacker, sister Karla Eisenga of Marion, in-laws; Hilda (Jim) Cruz of Marion, David (Connie) Eisenga of Lake City, Jim (Arlene) Eisenga of McBain, and Judy Eisenga of McBain, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry Jay Eisenga, son Nathan Eisenga, sisters Juanita Lee and Darlene Wilkerson. in-laws; John (Gloria) Eisenga, Johanna (Lawrence) Dykgraaf, Jerry Eisenga, Bernard Eisenga, and Wayne Venema.
Private family gathering will be held. Burial will take place in Highland Hillside cemetery in the spring.
