Janice Elaine McMurray age 71 of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of LeRoy passed away on July 2, 2025 at the McLaren Central Michigan Hospital in Mt. Pleasant. She was born on June 10, 1954 in Cadillac to Paul and Isabel (Nelson) Ochs.

Janice had been a factory worker in the production of automotive parts. She enjoyed flower gardening, her dogs, and out of door activities.

Janice is survived by two children; Christopher (Pam) Platz of Lowell and Jenni (Thomas) Kathan of Cadillac, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several great grandchildren, one brother; Phil (Kathy) Ochs of LeRoy and her life partner; Doug McMurray of Mt. Pleasant.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents and two infant sons.
