James Peter Ritsema, age 65 of Marion passed away at his home on July 1, 2024 following a short illness. He was born on April 9, 1959 in Grand Rapids to Peter and Lois (Quist) Ritsema.

He had worked at Herman Millers as a machine operator for many years. He enjoyed hunting, trapping turtles and river fishing.

He is survived by his sons; Jacob (Crystal) Ritsema and Dustin (Courtney) Ritsema both of Allegan. His mother; Lois Ritsema of Zeeland, special friend; Shirley Parsell of Marion, grandchildren; Marshall Ritsema, Jess Ritsema, Alexis Ritsema, Kaylee Ritsema, Evan Ritsema and Dylan Ritsema, siblings; Pete Ritsema of Big Rapids and Joanie Yonkers of Allegan.

He was preceded in death by his father; Peter Ritsema.
