Frederick G. Kaspriak, age 76, of Marion, Michigan passed away in his sleep on Thursday evening April 16, 2026. He was born on January 15, 1950 in Lansing, Michigan to Frederick and Elizabeth (Betty) Kaspriak. Fred married Dawn Nederhoed on November 21, 1969 in McBain, Michigan.

Fred served in the U.S. Airforce during the Vietnam war from 1969-1972. He went on to graduate with his Bachelors Degree from Ferris State University in Optometry. Fred moved the family to McBain to help his dad run McBain Drugs store after his mother had a stroke. He loved fishing in the Manistee River for Steelhead, mushroom picking, hunting, working in the garden with his wife and most of all spending time with his family. He enjoyed riding his Fat Boy Harley Davidson. He was a lover of music, loved to attend concerts.

Fred is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Dawn Kaspriak, children, Frederick J. Kaspriak of Cadillac, MI, Amanda (Jimmy) Allen of Sheridan, MI, grandchildren, “his buddies”, Quinn (Lauren) Kaspriak of Washington St., Alex (Fiancé Madison) Kaspriak of SanDiego, CA, Jacob Kaspriak of SanDiego, CA, “his smoochies”, Riley Allen of Sheridan, MI, Morgan Allen of Sheridan, MI, many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by sisters, Trisha Titus-O’Brien of Sun Lakes, AZ, and Gina (Ryke) Fowler of Chandler, AZ, in-laws, Dave (Toni) Nederhoed of Cadillac, MI, Judy Nederhoed of Lake City, MI, Craig Nederhoed of Marion, MI, Curt (Debby) Nederhoed of Cadillac, MI and Duane Dick of Falmouth, MI.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Betty Kaspriak, father and mother in-law Albert and Henrietta Nederhoed, brother in-laws, Russ Nederhoed, Brad Nederhoed, and Bob Mazzotti, and sister in-laws, Ruth Nederhoed and Carolyn Dick.

A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the Burkholder-Nielsen Funeral Home. The family is being served by the Burkholder-Nielsen Funeral Home in McBain. Thoughts and prayers can be left at burkholderfunerals.com.
