Evelyn Marie Schenden, age 87 of Big Rapids passed away on December 20, 2023. She was born on February 18, 1936 in Cadillac to Emery and Mary (Kados) Blackmer.

Evelyn enjoyed shopping, watching old movies and working on her computer. She worked at Clark Retirement Home in Grand Rapids for many years as an executive secretary. She was known to be a homebody.

She is survived by her sister Dorothy Linstrom of Cadillac, niece; Kari (Jeff) Schonert of McBain and a nephew; Carl Linstrom of Florida.

She is preceded in death by her parents Emery and Mary Blackmer.
