Esther Ann Herweyer, age 93 of McBain, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at her home. She was born on April 20, 1933 in Highland Township to Leonard and Maude (Dowlyn) Bazuin. Esther entered into marriage with Jack E. Herweyer on July 17, 1953 at the Lucas Rehoboth Reformed Church.

Esther spent time traveling with her husband Jack and had visited every state in Union except for Hawaii. They also wintered for 11 years in Mexico. She was attending Northland Community Church, enjoyed doing sewing projects. The thing she cherished the most was raising her five children.

She is survived by her children Keith (Nancy) Herweyer of Cody, WY, Jerry (Vikki) Herweyer of Powell, WY, Carol Warfield of McBain, Doris (Tom) Kelley of Cadillac and Jon Herweyer of McBain, ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, step in-laws Rick (Judy) Maass of Houghton Lake.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack Herweyer, son in-law William Warfield, brother Donald Bazuin, in-laws Clarence and Betty Tubergen, Orland and Eleanor Herweyer, Dorothy Herweyer, Ann Herwyer, Richard and Mathilda Herweyer, Ted and Jane Agema, step in-laws Don Maass, Arnold and Barb Yarhouse and Engleburk Maass.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 8 at the Northland Community church with Pastor Josh Smith officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the Burkholder- Nielsen Funeral Home in McBain and one hour prior to services on Friday. A luncheon will take place immediately following the service at the church followed by burial in the Vogel Center cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Munson Hospice.
