Elsie Hannah Rolston, age 98 of Reed City passed away, Saturday, February 22nd at Altercare in Big Rapids.

Elsie was born December 15th, 1926 to Frank (Herman) and Hannah Kage in Reed City, Michigan. She is survived by her daughter, Patty Rolston of Reed City and preceding her in death was husband, Richard Rolston and daughter Nancy Ann. Also preceding in death were brothers Victor, Edwin, Carl, Fritz, Rudolph and sister Emma Rehkopf.

Elsie attended school in Richmond Township, Osceola County. The school house was across from the Richmond Township Hall. She worked for Wolverine in Greenville, Michigan where she met her husband, Richard. Elsie and Richard eventually settled in Reed City until his passing in 1987.

Elsie loved to take rides and explore. She would enjoy going to stores and writing wish lists of the things she saw. She loved all animals especially her cats. Although quiet and reserved Elsie was always warm with a smile and will be missed by her family dearly.

Graveside service for Elsie will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 24 at the Meida Cemetery (7991 Reed Rd. Reed City, MI 49677) officiated by Pastor Larry Rolston. Following the service, a luncheon will be held at the First Baptist (4151 Wild Turkey Tail, Reed City, MI 49677). The family is being served by the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain.
