Donald Lee Gillmore age 82 of Marion passed away at his home with his children by his side on Sunday, September 10, 2023. He was born on January 24, 1941 at Flint to Joseph and Mina (Butterfield) Gillmore. He married Carol Hubbard at Marion on August 5, 1961 and she preceded him in death on July 3, 2012.

Don had served in the US Air Force, was a member of the Marion Eagles, and Duck's Unlimited. He had served as President of Marion for several years and had been the sexton for Marion Township for 19 years. He enjoyed photography, hunting, and fishing.

He is survived by his children; Janet (Michael) Petty of Austin, Colorado and Joesph (Molly) Gillmore of Ridgeway, South Carolina, grandchildren; Jessica (Steve) Miller, Scott D. (Carly) Accomando, Riley Gillmore, and Brody Gillmore, great grandchildren; Brantly Miller, Emberly Miller, Benson Miller, Luke Miller, and Beau Accomando, brother; Chuck Gillmore of Marion and several in-laws.

He was preceded in death by a sister; Norma Pifer.
