Danny Lee Vanas Sr., age 77 of Evart, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025. He was born in Cadillac on October 3, 1948 to William and Joyce (Luhrs) Vanas.

Danny served four years in the United States Navy. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier days of life. He like tractor pulling, woodworking, playing guitar and listening to bluegrass music.

Danny is survived by his children; Danny Vanas Jr., Joy Vanas and Wendy (Amber), grandchildren; Brittany (Cesar), Sage and significant other Miguel, Cassidy, Christopher, Buck and significant other Allison, and Angel, great-grandchildren; Daniel, Scarlett, Mabel, Dominic, Evie, Jasper, Noah, Franklin, and Henry, siblings; Susie (Ray), Sharon, Karen (Steve) and Babe and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Danny was preceded in death by, his parents, wife Linda, son Eric and granddaughter Heather.

The family is holding a celebration of life at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 5 at the Marion Baptist Church with Floyd Ankney presiding. A luncheon will follow the service at the church. The family is being served by the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain.
