Benjamin Jon Damhof, age 35 of McBain/Cadillac, passed away at home after a short illness with his father by his side. He was born on August 17, 1990 in Cadillac to Jon Damhof and Malichan Miller.

Ben graduated from McBain Public School in 2009. He was part of the 4x100 meter relay team that broke the school record in 2009 that was previously held by his father, that records stands yet today. Ben had many interests and excelled at many things during his short life. His latest interest involved a newly formed 3D printing business that was his current passion and was showing potential and growing rather quickly.

He is survived by his father Jon Damhof, his mother Malichan (Dan) Harry, sister Erika (Kelly) Stillson, grandmothers; Jeanne Damhof and Kham Miller, aunts and uncles; Mary Alice (Bryan) Marschner, Hugh (Debra) Miller, Vinh (Lisa) Miller, Vahn Miller, Rachel (CJ) Palmer, nieces and nephews; Caroline Stillson, Rhett Stillson, Sadie Stillson and his special friend and best bud Renly his golden retriever.

He is preceded in death by his grandpa’s Gale Damhof, Hugh Miller, great-grandparents Ben and Alice Geers, Arthur and Evelyn Miller and his uncle Casey Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at the Burkholder-Nielsen Funeral Home in McBain with Pastor Kathy Vana officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00-6:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will take place after the service in Mount View Cemetery in McBain. A luncheon will be held following the service at the McBain Community Building. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to your choice.
