Ava Mae Cross, passed away on November 22, 2025 at the age of 16, following an automobile accident. Ava was born on April 19, 2009 in Cadillac, Michigan to Josh Cross and Cortney Fargo.

Ava was a Junior at McBain Rural Agricultural High School. She enjoyed playing in the band and was a part of the culinary class. Ava loved spending time with her friends.

Ava is survived by her parents Cortney Fargo of Marion and Josh (Traci) Cross of McBain, siblings; James Cross of Marion and Isabella Greer of Lake George, grandparents; Dale and Wanda Fargo of McBain and George and Terri Dupuis of Saginaw, great grandma Betty Cross of Higgins Lake, Aunt Jessica (Derek) Wiley of New Boston, MI and a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Larry and Lois Benjaman.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain. The family is being served by the Burkholder Family Funeral Home.
